brave
On a cold and snowy day in Toronto.
Did a little experimentation with long exposures. Kind of a neat effect, though I do wish it was a little cloudier like last night.
I think all those dog walkers must have thought I was crazy, running around and randomly standing/sitting still every 10 seconds.
It's odd how dark the sky is on the right side of the photo - I guess the light pollution does end where the city ends.
Some vinyls we bought today: a mini Doppelganger (Kidrobot) & a Jibibuts (neoferin).
Took a slight detour on my way home tonight. Blue and red - colours of the Haitian flag. www.redcross.ca/
Say what you will about the Burj Dubai, the CN Tower is a beautiful structure.
I saw this ~6-8 year old kid going up the escalator all by himself nomming on a bag of Kernels popcorn. He seemed content.
I couldn't resist buying these. I got two dozen or so and have been happily shucking and nomming.
Another long day... but so much relaxation. At the spa for a massage, strolled around Holt's, lunch at 7 West and a group jacuzzi party. I think we broke the jacuzzi.
Gross, but I became quite sick after eating a Double Big Mac from McDonalds yesterday (I'm sure it was that b/c I couldn't eat anything else for the rest of the day). Perhaps I'll just look at meat for the moment rather than consume it.
FYI It was the McDonalds at Queen & Spadina - yes, the same one I photographed two days ago.
My uncle gave Lucky to me today because there was an electrical fire in the condo unit opposite to his which filled his home with smoke. He rushed home, but the fire dept didn't let him upstairs until he said there was a dog at stake. A fireperson knocked on his door and heard a dog barking but didn't know how big she was - so, in the end, the two of them went upstairs to retrieve her. Lucky was lucky today.
Sequoia National Park, California. (Elevation: 7,625 feet)
Don't ask me why I climbed up here. Anyone have spare oxygen?
Page Museum - La Brea Tar Pits (Los Angeles, California).
The three of us were able to talk ourselves in for free! I think the lady at the ticket booth took pity on us poor cash strapped students. I'm grateful, but in all honesty, the museum was quite small for a $7.00 admission fee. The really interesting stuff were the tar pits outside and they're always free to explore.
Venice Beach (Los Angeles, California).
It was such a nice day at the beach and these three boys were playing in the sand - something I was ill equipped to do that day. I had a pleasant chat with one of their parents who was keeping watch further up the beach.

Los Angeles, California.
You know where this is. Imagine the faint smell of urine and a pool at your feet. I am behind you.
I'm still in awe about LA - Hollywood's just a little gimmicky.
I've been a little busy lately, and I haven't been able to keep up with the photography. But Summer's around the corner - so there is hope!
I also hope everyone's cruising through their exams! Good luck! :)
