Don't ask me why I climbed up here. Anyone have spare oxygen?
Page Museum - La Brea Tar Pits (Los Angeles, California).
The three of us were able to talk ourselves in for free! I think the lady at the ticket booth took pity on us poor cash strapped students. I'm grateful, but in all honesty, the museum was quite small for a $7.00 admission fee. The really interesting stuff were the tar pits outside and they're always free to explore.
Venice Beach (Los Angeles, California).
It was such a nice day at the beach and these three boys were playing in the sand - something I was ill equipped to do that day. I had a pleasant chat with one of their parents who was keeping watch further up the beach.

Los Angeles, California.
You know where this is. Imagine the faint smell of urine and a pool at your feet. I am behind you.
I'm still in awe about LA - Hollywood's just a little gimmicky.
I've been a little busy lately, and I haven't been able to keep up with the photography. But Summer's around the corner - so there is hope!
I also hope everyone's cruising through their exams! Good luck! :)

These guys were playing football this afternoon.

An oldie taken with my P&S. I meant to post this on Friday, but it slipped my mind. :)
Hope everyone had a good St. Patty's Day!

This was perhaps the last photo I took as we left Montreal. Thanks to James, Sarah and Dan for letting us disturb them! ;)

Taken after dinner on Friday with Montrealer friends. Can't believe we went for all-you-can-eat sushi after the Monster we had on Thursday!

Taken on Rue St. Denis, during one of our treks around the city of Montreal. I had to bust out my OAC French skills (or lack thereof) on many occasions - and I see that I have retained close to nothing. What kind of French can I still do? VERB CONJUGATIONS! Remember those days of 'avoir' and 'être'? We demand practical skills. :P

I think this was taken at the Laurier Metro Station in Montreal. I just wish the TTC had the same commitment to service as the Metro. The underground routes are definitely more extensive and the stations themselves are large and bright - except for the green line at Berri-UQAM which had the aroma of warmed urine. :P
Good times in Montreal!

Happy Chinese New Years! and Gung Hei Fat Choy! From Wikipedia, the lion dance is over a thousand years old and featured in Buddhist lore. There are variations of this dance in Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore.
I just remember crying when I was little and my parents took me to watch these dances. :P

They always try to sell me stuff when I'm in that area. I guess it looks like I need some sort of pharmaceutical assistance. BTW, that black blob is a pit bull or some other type of dog.

Taken at McDonalds. I rarely go to burger joints anymore since I gave up eating beef last year (or was that 2 years ago?). My favourites: McDonald's Chicken Nuggets and Harvey's Onion Rings. ;)

I took photos of this church before dinner on Friday, but they were blurry so I went back with my friends after to get this shot. Gotta love my friends - the church was not on the way home (PLUS it was freezing). Thanks!

Saw these two while I was waiting for the bus. How could I not take a photo? Very naughty.
Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend!

Kick ass! I'd buy these vinyl figures if they didn't cost $100. A great innovative group. ;)

This is the bulb at the bottom of our stairway. It used to have a have a glass shade covering it. One day a friend changed the bulb. The round glass cover broke. It was shattered. Now the light looks odd. This was the story of the broken lamp, may it rest in pieces. ;)

My friend wanted me to post this photo yesterday, but I liked the one I posted better. Any thoughts?

Had a nice break from the lab today due to "inclement weather" and it was great! Thanks to Riz for the heads up this morning! :)
Went out for a hearty breakfast and some shopping.

Hmm... I can't actually remember where I shot this. It was either a side alley next to the Budo Liquid Theatre or somewhere on Spadina.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Before I took this photo, I thought, "If you're not in danger of getting hit by several cars, it's not worth taking." Naw, I'm not that reckless - I had a friend hold onto me just in case. =)
I thought this was an interestingly framed sunset.
Enjoy.

I really enjoy the atmosphere of Nathan Phillips Square during this time of year. Everyone's having fun with their mothers and their fathers; their group of friends; and with everyone on the ice - an air of peacefulness abounds. It may be weird but I love it when the Zamboni comes and everyone gets off the ice, watching it - almost spellbound - go around and around for half an hour.
I didn't know this until recently, but there's a piece of the Berlin Wall at the southern base of the central arch. That's cool.

One of my friend's profs mentioned this YouTube video in class today and it's funny. I wonder if his response is justified. Enjoy!
Took this photo after skating at Nathan Phillips Square and a delicious sashimi dinner at one of my favourite Toronto restaurants. Mmmm...

We were going to go out and watch the fireworks up close, but it was cold and raining so we opted for a combination of my window and the TV. Good times! Happy New Year's 2007 everyone!
